[identity profile] jinxfates.livejournal.com posting in [community profile] egl_archive
As I noticed that Gothic & Lolita's have dolls and purses among their accessories I thought I'd show some pictures of a marionette that I bought at Hoggtown Ren. Festival and a purse I found at an antique mall. I personally would enjoy taking a marionette for a walk more so than a doll, but then thats just my preferance. ^_^ I also bought the purse because I could imagine creating an outfit based around the purse when I saw it and am now trying to figure out how to go about creating an outfit around the purse now that I own it. I keep imagining something black and white with crochet lace trims and fishnet stockings to go with the fishnet detail of the purse. I would like to thank those of you who gave me kind words and suggestions when I first posted this and apologize to those of you who were upset over it. I hope this re-editing helps. ^_^;

I hate to be a meanie-butt, but this post has very very little to do with gothic and lolita fashion.
There is one picture of a purse and 5 pictures of cats.
This is not to say that the pictures aren't cute, but they are off topic in an extreme sort of way. Perhaps if they were doing something kind of loli-like it would be okay, but as it is, that is not the case.
Also... the community rules say that all images save for one must be placed under the cut.
Perhaps if you wanted to share the pictures of your cat with us, you should have put them under the cut and your new purse, as the main picture, above the cut.
I really don't much like giving out warnings, so please fix this entry or it will be deleted.
Sorry for the trouble, but rules are rules.
Thank you.

Thank you for fixing the entry. ^__^

As a little clarification, certainly the purse can be considered egl. I think it will make a nice accessory for you. ^__^
As well, certainly dolls, stuffed animals, puppets and the like can be elements of egl, but usually they are specifically egl looking in and of themselves or shown in an egl setting.
I think that the reason people took the post as being off topic is that you didn't say anything about what egl related plans you had for the marionette in the original post.
The marionette is really really cute though and I can definitely see a cute loli-chan walking around and making it walk with her. In fact that does seem very egl.
You might even consider either reworking this post or making another post about your thoughts on the subject. I mean you explained it in one of the comments, but not everyone will see them, and so it might be nice to have an entry about it. I think other people might be interested in a discussion on that sort of thing. ^__^

(btw have you thought about putting a mini top hat on the marionette? That would be so0o0o0o0o0oo0o cute. ^___^)

On top of not being EGL related, these are also not behind a cut of any sort.
