Also, I'm sensing a growing trend of pretty lacey, frilly, ribbonny things in stores like Charlotte Russe and those little cheap "boutique" stores so prevalent in southern california. I went shopping with a bunch of friends today and I couldn't help but think "why do people order from Japan, anyway?". There was definitely a lot of cool, loli-esque clothing about, or at least a clothing that could easily been more loli-like with an extra row of lace.

Next spring even more pouf and lace will enter the fashion scene. I was at a thing called "trend guide" with my class for a couple of weeks ago and one big upcoming trend is dance/fairytale inspired.

Yes, ruffles and bows and lace are definetely the fashion trend right now. Also everything in pink and black and ivory, very French and lady-like. That's the case in Montreal. I'm not sure if other centers have caught up yet!
