Just thought I would share this with you all, it took exactly 18 hours and then some to finish this dress.

I am currently working on a pink dress that I stole from blue period. I hope to have it done by Saturday. Oh the agony of creating these dresses, but they sure are fun to look at.

My version of a BSSB Cutsaw top

ATL as in, Atlanta, GA? There is a convention held there every year actually ~ it is called Anime Weekend Atlanta (http://www.awa-con.com/). I have never been myself, though I do hope to go someday and I have always heard good things about that con. ^__^

Very pretty!

In my humble opinion, though, the wide white lace trim is just a teensy bit overpowering. I love B & W and the contrast, but I think overall, the dress would seem a little better balanced if the wide trim was used maybe only on the skirt parts, or only on the bottom of the skirt and the around the neckline.
I think the black satin bows and white satin roses are throwing the balance a little as well, and the combo of the two makes it seem more 'busy' instead of more ornate? Ornate isn't the word I want, but it's the closest my brain will give me at the moment. Does any of that make sense?

Still sooo very pretty. I definitely envy your ability.
Man I need to learn to have the patience for sewing...

I think both pieces are absolutely gorgeous just as they are! The only things that are too busy are the photo backdrops! heh heh

Really superb work, I'm in envy through and through.

Your stark use of black and white in the dress is so chic. It looks amazing. I love the big/solid white lace. It's not a delicate dress, it's very graphic... Like someone took out a marker and started drawing a dress.

That dress literally took my breath away. I was scrolling through my friendspage and saw it, and gasped. The dress is incredibly lovely, I think the contrast is teriffic! It has good shapes and lines in it. I'm very much looking forward to seeing other things you've sewn : )
