Hello lolis!

For thoses who read/remember, i posted a while ago saying that i'd review Crescent Errand Service once I recieved my order, if someone showed interest, and since at least one person did, well here is my review!

Once Mr Masamichi got my inquiry (the first emails i sent seemed to have gotten lost), he was very quick to reply with an estimate of the cost and shipping. He was also very kind and didn't mind changing my order 2 times (added and removed items) before I paid. Once I paid i recieved an email from him saying he ordered the items the same day!

It took some time till he recieved the items (because MA sent the wrong items ^^;; ) but as soon as he got all the items I was notified and the items were shipped! I recieved everything nicely wrapped and taped with a least 5 rolls of duck tape (and it took me forever to open the box ^^;; )

So basicly everything went smoothly! The only thing that really made me mad... if you live in Canada, the shipping service is Purolator (I HATE THEM!!! T$"//!$REFASD$/!%$!) Ahem, I always have troubles getting my package from them (basicly you need a car and a map, both thing i'm missing, good thing I have friends with spare time who do have theses things..) and after I did manage to get my hands on the package... i was sent a nice 70$ (can) bill for fees i don't understand and TPS (which i was expecting). Hurray.
Next time I'll ask (read beg) Mr Masamichi to use another shipping service if possible.. if not then i don't know if i'll order again because thoses purolator fees really added more than what i was ready to pay for thoses clothes....

As for MA, as well as giving me the clothes they sent me nice free goodies! I got a very nice and soft skarf with a white butterfly, MA and their website on it. Also, I got two nice, button i hear they're called...? with MA written and a nice little logo <3
Oh, and i got a HUGE plastic bag with MA written on it! (wonder what I'm gunna do with it though ^^; ) and also a mini catalog of their clothes ;)

They sent that to you because many girls in Japan, particularly shopaholics, love to collect brand name bags. Sometimes, they will have auctions for just the plastic shopping bag!!

Hee hee I saved my BtSSB bags, I was thinking of framing them and trying to do something artistic with them, they are so pink & cute.

i love that skirt / petticoat, im not sure which one. haha. also i have this mohair sweater from putumayo that is similar to the one you got but it has some screen printing on the front with a hood. i adore those types of sweaters so much. it makes me think of old vivienne westwood clothes.

maybe the fees are customs? I often have to pay customs and taxes when I'm buying stuff for more than 500SEK (=about USD70). Nontheless I REALLY HATE "surprising" fees... >_<;;;;;;

Yeah, you bought enough merchandise (total value-wise) that all those exhorbitant fees were probably duty and customs. The only way to avoid those fees is to declare a low value on the package. Obviously if it's insured EMS (and actually is worth a lot) this is counterproductive. Really sucks, I know, and you have to pay it even if it's marked as gift not merchandise >.

There is an actual dollar-amount cut-off for customs -- like, if it's $X, there's no customs charge, but if it's $X + $1, then there is. It's probably worth looking into where the custom charges start, and what the rates run for future purchases. Sometimes It's actually cheaper to split an order in two to avoid customs.

yes Mr Masamichi is very nice! i paid with paypal, and he emailed me after he sent the items, asking if it was alright if he refunded the overcharge in shipping to my paypal account. and he did so right away. haha. i really look forward to going through the service again.

Masamichi

I've used his service about 5 times now, he's super prompt and his communication is excellent. Occasionally there has been an understandable delay, but it was only by a few days. I highly recommend this service if you are willing to pay the markup for the service.
