I was wondering if any of you could answer a few questions... First, how much does a G&L Bible cost? I'm sure they're pretty expensive because they're cramed with stuff, but I'd love to get one. Secondly, are any Lolis from Toronto here? I can't seem to find any. I'd love to participate in a teaparty or something like that. x.x

They are 1300 yen and can be bought anywhere from 16-20 US $.

They are wonderful mooks, but as a warning, they aren't really crammed with that much stuff. With the exception of the patterns (which may be worth the price depending on whether or not you sew), they really don't have anything more than a regular japanese mag (such as kera) would have (such as stickers, or in the newer ones, a poster). I still love the ones i have very much, but I honestly can't say that they were all worth the price.

I have to agree with you =) but the only exception why G&L Bibles are more expensive than Kera is because the quality is nicer. Oh well.

I live near Toronto, 905 area ^_^ I think there's a Fruits club in the meetup.com site but I'm not too sure. I don't think many ppl. are committed to going especially in this dang cold weather. ^^

Crammed or not, they're very nice nontheless. And compared with Kera there's no disgusting ads about plastic surgery and such. There's only G&L-related "ads" in the bibles and they're *very* few compared with usual magazine. But after all bibles are mooks, not magazines. I think that every lolita-chan should own at least one copy of bible, they're so wonderful to browse in, very inspirational. Both the brand clothes pages and the clothes worn by girl/boys at street snaps are interesting.

The only downhill with bibles for me is that I can't read Japanese. *lol* But still I own #1-8 and 10. Need to order 9 and 11. ^__^

They are $19 at every bookstore I've ever been to. More if you buy them at conventions... if you can even buy them there. I'm not sure.

I think they are definatley worth it! They are pretty big books, but not really crammed with stuff. I like the street snaps, the pictures of the clothes, and the little how-to's. The Bibles are really neat and interesting books. Although, I find Gosu Rori and Handmade G&L more useful myself.
I like Kera too, it's more of a street snap magazine, but it does have some neat fashions in it.

Not at newsstands (like, train station kiosks), but most book/magazine shops carry the latest Bible.
