OMG! I just got the Handmade! \^o^/
I want to make the first 'set', with the white blouse and black skirt.
I want to know if anybody here already done them, if so, do you have any advice or anything like that?
Because I realy don't speak/read japanese... I am just good at sewing... =3

very important!

when copying those the patterns remember in that book they dont include a seam allowence so make sure you add 5/8 inch to everything

I made both the sailor blouse and I'm working on sewing bows for the skirt. The skirt is very simple to make and there's some color photo instructions in the book. As for the blouse it's relatively simple except for the collar. You have to draw out the collar, and when I made mine it overlapped and it looks funny. The book is pretty understandable even if you can't read japanese, there's diagrams and pictures of how to assemble the pieces. But it's a good idea to know how to sew.

I can't read japanese and didn't have any trouble with it. The illustrations are pretty good. I did find that the skirt was not quite full enough for my tastes, though (or perhaps it just wasn't scaled up quite enough for the L size). I made this skirt (http://students.washington.edu/emstoody/loli1.jpg) from that pattern, but added about three or four inches (if I remember correctly ^^;) to the pattern piece (so about an extra 6 or 8 inches in total circumference)

Really? That's interesting because the skirts always looked a bit large and overly full to me in the pictures... I guess it's deceiving?

Well, for how they fit me they aren't. They might not be scaled up to the same dimensions, but the small does look awfully small... I dunno, I haven't made it with the pattern provided, but I could've added even another couple inches to the skirt I made, especially if I were going to box pleat it into the waistband.
