So I was going to order from BTSSB, and it says everything they sell is female size 9 in japanese standard
does anyone know what size that is in american sizes?

Well, I normally wear a size US Women's size 1/2 but I'm confident that the Japanese size 9 would comfortably fit up to a US Women's size 5/6.

I was the one who wrote that sizing page... The larger sizes DO exist -- I've seen clothes up to at least size 20 -- but none of those clothes are cute. ^^; Like, almost all the clothing over a size 13 is frumpy old women's stuff for grandmothers... and I didn't think any foreigners visiting Japan would be looking to buy Japanese grannies' outfits... ^^;;; (I'm not exaggerating, the selection of plus-size clothing in Japan is really dismal and my friends who live here and need those sizes prefer to do their shopping on yearly trips abroad)

Oh I don't care about that, I just wanted to explain why the chart only included a few sizes. ^^;

What the "size 9" thing means is that if you can wear a Japanese 9 you probably don't have to worry TOO much, because on average Baby's clothes will fit that size. But in fact Baby's clothes are all different sizes and some of them are much larger than a 9.

Each item has the measurements for that specific garment on that page (right under "sizes") and it's *very* important to check them, because just looking quickly around the site I found two dresses that were 14 cm. (5.5 inches) different in width around, two skirts that were 10 cm different in waistband, and two blouses that were 12 cm different in bust. So figure out what your measurements are in centimeters and compare them to the individual garments for a good fit.

Aitreni is right. Take your measurements in centimeters. An option for people who can't fit into a 60cm waist is to find skirt with an stic waistband. I can fit into most blouses (I've seen some at MAM that have 90cm busts). Or just wear a sports bra to suck yourself in a little. Metamorphose has larger sizes, in fact they found a skirt for me online that had 112 cm waist. Aya emailed me back with photos and everything, they are really nice.

I think she's an "ana".

So I don't see why'd she have fitting troubles. lol.

Probably not a good idea to tell her how small you have to be to fit into Japanese sizes, thoughO_o;;

did you call her anorexic?

yeah, ana = anorexic. It's that whole "proi - ana" thing, they call it "ana", and call "ana" a she, as if anorexia were their friend. They tend to have icons like hers, yes. Quite interesting indeed.

yep, if you fit US size 6,you can certainly wear any EGL skirts. However, if you have an unusually large chest (like me...ugh) you may have a hard time with shirts that button. just to warn ya

(for the record, judging by the american clothes I have i'm US size 6 skirts, size medium shirt, 34D bra....so if you're smaller than me, don't worry at all, it'll fit for sure).
