egl-specific designers outside of japan

hi, I am just wondering how successful (amount of inventory sold, that kind of thing) international egl designers are, and what the % of orders from japan and outside japan is. any tidbits of info would also be nice.
(it's my dream to have my own little shop, online or on the street. unfortunately, it's highly unlikely that there are enough people interested in egl style in australia *sob*, but I am curious all the same.. maybe i'll win the lotto? ^-^)

But if you had it online, then you could be shipping worldwide. I would be so happy if I could find somewhere that shipped to the us. I've been searching on ebay, making my own dresses too. I like my own dresses but they just don't come out quite so ornate as the ones on line, so I would still love to buy a few of them. It's funny because I used to think $80 to $150 for a dress was expensive, but after making mine, figuring product cost and time to make, that's just about right. If you ever do start up a shop or want to sell dresses email me links or pictures, we could probably make some sort of arrangement.

Certainly. I thought about doing a website for my stuff but I don't feel I could keep up with demand if it were to become popular. It takes me anywhere from 8 to 20 hours to make a dress, so if I had like 20 orders I could never keep up. I figure if I make a dress, then I might just try to sell it on ebay or eglshop.

I suppose Japanese lolis don't order from foreign egl seamstresses at all. At least not before some of them is exhibited in G&L Bible.
