Hi, I'm heidi and from England and new! I guess I should do a quick introduction... I have long been fascinated by Japanese culture in general, I have only recently developed an intrest in the fashion. Being a bit of a goth anyway, EGL was obviously an attraction!
I am actually lucky enought to be travelling to Tokyo in 6 weeks time, and am super excited by the prospect of shopping. A country where things are actaully made for girls of diminutive stature, it couldn't be better :D
I was wondering if anyone knew of any shops worth visiting for EGL, fruits or just any kind of crazy alternative type stuff? Thankyou, and sorry for x-posting this.

Heya welcome to EGL... UK here aswell, your so lucky to go to Tokio, I hope you have a fantastic trip! Look out on [livejournal.com profile] loligothuk for details of the upcoming UK Gothic Lolita meet-up in London... & If you happen to go to Wildercon or Amecon in August there also might be an EGL Picnic of some kind...

You probably already heard about Harajuku, but I'm spamming about it anyway. Takeshita Street is where you want to go for anything EGL! I'm sure there are people on here who will give you specific store names where you can get the best quality EGL attire (and I don't really remember any of the store names; I was in too much awe). If you come across Yellow House, take a peek inside. The owner has designed clothes for famous Japanese rock stars (including Kyo, Sugizo, and hide), and she's extremely friendly and willing to show off what she's made. (Plus, she's fairly fluent in English.)

I hope you enjoy Tokyo! It's really a wonderful place!

Yes! That's what I did for the most part... I didn't really have a "mission" of sorts, but I ended up stumbling across a lot of neat things. ;_; I miss Harajuku.

May I add this quote (attributed to you, of course) to my Tokyo shopping guide?
