egl_archiveHey everyone my name is Shivon, I'm new here I've just finally gotten the hang of Lj so I'm joining every community that seems interesting to me. This is one of the ones I found. I wanna post some pictures of myself up but it's far to late and my eyes are far to red for all that. So I'm gonna post them up later I just wanted to post so I'm not a damn lurker in every aspect of my life. Oh yeah if any of you guys sew I think you'd be interested in a pattern I just posted up for sale on ebay. It's a Simplicity Pattern for three Renaissance dress. This is my first time selling on ebay so I'm excited. Speaking of which. I went to a ren fest today. Lemme tell you it was my first time going to one and it was really cool I saw awesome costumes. I wish I could sew. Hence the reason I'm selling the pattern it's in my hosue doing absolutely nothing. I have no Egl friends so.....My only regret about the fair is not having my digital camera, my cousin had it. So I'm gonna go back and get pics for all of the groups. Plus I wanna buy some really cool stuff I saw there. Well I don't want this small introduction to end up being to long. So I' gone I'll be back fors sure though.

On a BODICE, you do lace up the front. And you have the bow at the top (or bottom. But way, way rarely.)
A "cincher" would be about ten inches smaller than the corset in the icon. Cinchers don't cover breasts.

so what a corset is a corset, you can wear what you want how you want and when you want and where you want! you should do your own research before you go ballistic on someone you dont know, because it could be the same case as pantheria (sorry if i butchered your name^^) where the icon was specially made for her!

So what's the big deal if someone takes a traditional item and changes it to create an "inspired by" item?
A front lacing corset is not different than taking fishnets and wearing them on your arms or torso. They weren't originally intended for that use either.
