oi oi! Hello I'm Jeannie and also a new member of this community ^^. sorry for my shyness, i've been lurking here for a while and never actually thought about joining until today XD

i am currently working on 3 lolita dresses and want to post one for sugjestions ^^ its not egl just lolita ^^ well... maybe elegant lolita ??? lol well i hope you like the pic . i'm open for suggestions!

I think it's pretty! ALOT better than how my dress turned out (which I still need to hem and add lace to). I really like the sleeves.

XD thanks i really needed a little boost ^^. i dont have many lolita friends in florida so i have to make do with what i have ^^ the sleaves were actually pretty easy, just elasttic and fabaric ( lol of course) but all you have to do is pleat the fabaric and add a bow ^^

EGL= Elegant Gothic Lolita
Well from what I see in your pic I'd say the dress hass more of a country lolita or victorian maiden sorta feel. If you want a more EGL dress use black or white fabric and coordinating or matching lace. I like black or white or a combination for something EGL.
Take a look at some of the websites of different brands that you like. Or look at the G&L Bible (I'm not sure if you have these or not)
Pick up the G&L sewing books (Handmade G&L & Gosu Rori) for some ideas.
If you're not comfortable sewing with a Japanese book you can edit US patterns. The crosses and petticoats site has some egl compatible patterns.

Very nice work! It's very Classic Lolita, my favorite type actually as Victorian Maiden (http://www.victorianmaiden.com) is my favorite brand and that looks like something they'd make.

It looks like you did a very good job sewing the dress.
It looks very much like a sweet lolita dress from Mary Magedelene or Victorian Maiden. Add some sweet lolita type accessories and I think you'll be on your way to having an outfit to be proud of. ^___^

thanks ^^ i'm working on a few more dresses and there all black with lack and one has a card deck pattern going along the bottom hem XD , i can't wait to finish them for you all to see but sadly , my mom has me currently working on a few... southern bell dresses ^^ they are cute though

right click on the picture. go to "properties" (for me it's the last option). look for the part that says "address (URL)" and then to the right of that is a URL. Copy the URL.

When posting, tpye [IMG SRC="http://**************"](change the [] to <>) then it'll post the picture right in here. just make sure you LJ-cut ([lj-cut text="***"]] changing the [] to <>)
