hello fellow lolis! i'm Niji.

anyway, i found this book today, Cosplay Girls, in my local Waldenbooks. it had 4 pages of EGL girls. they all had really pretty outfits.

...anyway, i'm really posting to ask a singular question. i'm going to the Chicago EGL meetup, but obiviously, i have had another fashion dillema. would you all concider a black skirt, a black polo shirt (it's not really polo, but it's got that look to it...), a black tie, and black and white striped kneehighs would be loli in anyway? hope you guys can help me! ^^

I would say in a Putumayo/H. Naoto/Union Jack type way, Yes. It's EGL with more emphasis on the Gothic than the Elegant or Lolita, and there is nothing wrong with that.

Heh, by definition that outfit would be gothic, but not lolita... although if you were to wear a gathered lacy skirt and have your hair done up with a headdress, it would be casual lolita~

Yeah, just be creative with lace or ripped fabric and you'll find that you can get a sort of fusion look. A headdress and makeup also do a great deal for these sorts of things!
