I have to agree with everyone else. The dresses are "eh" but those tights are awesome. And what's with that hair? I understand that they don't want to put too much emphasis on the actual model, but rather on the clothing their wearing...but why must their hair styles be so incredibly silly?

I'm agreeing with the people who commented before. ^^ The dresses are so-so.. I absolutely adore the designs, but I would have chosen different fabric/colors. (And like everybody else, I <3 the tights!) Thankies for posting!

I am totally feeling the second picture's outfit. If the colors were different, it would look almost exactly like a Victorian Maiden outfit I'm reminded of. The rest is "eh" but outside of the EGL scope of fashion I really like the last picture, it has so many different elements I like about it; it feels very worldly and seems to transcend historical fashion periods.

But man, what is up with the models' hair styles?! I understand runway fashion is just art, but still... ^__^;;

One day, I'll own a Lacroix couture piece. Definitely one of my favorite designers, next to Jean Paul Gaultier in terms of creativity and beauty.

you know...the skirt in the second picture has a definite egl cut to it! especially the front part with the horizontal rows of lace in the front...i can see what you mean! the shirt in the third picture would really work with the gothic lolita look too..just mix and match it with the skirt from the one before it and you've got an instant neo-gothic lolita-esque look! really! @.@

and mix that top with the skirt from the last picture and you get something you'd see in chobits! ^o^ oooh, the possibilities! luv them, thanks soo much for sharing!!

Christian Lacroix.....!
He's kind of a hard designer to appriciate on first glance..heh...so many mis-matched textures and colours...it's a bit wild. :) I love that about his designs...If you can get hold of one...
Christian Lacroix-Diary of a collection: http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/0684832593/ref=pd_sim_books_1/002-4354852-8430452?v=glance&s=books

is a really good book.Lots of pictures of his sketchbooks for a collection and a lot of writing about him.The one I got was MUCH cheaper than that though..heh

I love his takes on historical designs and the use of fabric and texture...
Purdie :)
There was a section on "bad taste clothing" which was what part of his collection was about, and i guess most of his collections... things people would (as you all just did) say..."eh" and see as not being particually attractive...different colours used together that "don't belong" and a mish mash of styles.
It's something he does dileberately and I don't know...after reading that it cast a whole new light on his designs for me.
