Just to let you guys know, LJ appearently saw fit to give me this community. As some of you noticed, I've changed the layout. I changed the information page, as well, but I will be improving on that when I have more time. Unfortunately, I don't have a heck of a whole lot of time tonight, but I will tommorrow.

*smiles* So, it worked! I really didn't think they'd give it to me, but hey, at least I'm an active mod, eh? hehe. Here's some things I plan to do in the next few days/weeks...

Organize the community, delete off topic posts, past and present.
Recruit a new team of moderators.
Create an FAQ archive.


If you lolitas want anything else, just let me know! *muah* Must be off now...

PS: Artwork comes from the artist of Body Line, which I'll be credited as soon as I can find the site again.

Yay, I'm so glad it worked! Ok just my opinion but any chance we can have the Layout the same size as before, its really hard to read & when you get long-ish post people will have to scroll down too much, hope that makes sense! I love the new Icon, it rocks, well done... I don't mind helping out if you'd like, not sure what I could do, but I'm online most days so let me know, so if you want I can definitly help Mod, I always try to be fair Ect...

I dunno I'm not too sure about having an Image at the top but thats just my tastes so whatever is cool...

Also I was wondering as per the terms of posting, if its related to the EGL lifestyle such as JRock, Visual Kei, are we allowed to post about these, I.E, lets say previously I have posted that I had a "Psycho Le Cemu" CD up for grabs on EBay, would I still be allowed to post such things, or is there definitly no posting of sales or auctions should that go onto the EGL Sale Community? Just wondering because at the moment, this community gets the most views so there is more chance of it being viewed, however that might all change now the other community is linked on the Bio Page...

Also I hope the community isn't going to become too Elitist because we have metamorphique for that (Not an attack on metamorphique either!), the point really of this community was the fact that there was some freedom & that Western EGL culture could be discusses freely & that people that didn't have access to Orginal clothing could still show off they're homemade/Thrifstore/EGL-ish finds without worrying too much & if they had a question which was kind of relevant it could be asked here too, you know?

Sorry about all the rambling, just trying to make sure I understand the new rules etc... Well, congrats, whata great idea, its fantastic that it actually worked, power to the people then I guess!!! Hope I haven't forgotten to ask anything...

I agree so much! I also hope that posts don't have to be first approved by mods or locked, like metamorphique (Not an attack, either! It's a good idea for a strictly-run community!) and I honestly don't think EGL should have to be run the same.

Finally @_@ I <3 EGL, but I was tempted to remove myself from this community because of all of the ebay auction posts and fighting and whatnot. I'm real glad things are now straightened out.

I'd offer to help out modding since I'm not hardcore into EGL and wouldn't be biased towards anything, but I don't know how frequent my net access will be while I'm in Japan (I'm going to be an exchange student) so I doubt that'd work out.

I agree... but I suppose it demends on how the community shall be run. I think it would be lovely if we could include everybody in as much as possible, especially some of the members that have been along for a long time (like you, I believe? ^_^;). Or maybe we could even vote on mods?

It's like easter egg hunting for pretty pictures T_T They are all over the site it would seem, there are some here (http://www.rakuten.co.jp/bodyline/515854/516253/516512/) and here (http://www.rakuten.co.jp/bodyline/515861/)(which looks a heck of a lot like a Baby dress)... Bodyline seems to be increasing their EGL line as well, which is good, although some of the new clothes aren't that great.

i agree that the layout makes the page difficult and a little annoying to read... though i seem to be in the minority (and of course it is very pretty.)

i also think voting on mods is a good idea, and the limit on auction posts in a certain time period.

i don't think we should delete past posts. it's generally considered a bad thing to do so on message boards, etc., since it's sort of misrepresenting history.

and will there be an faq web page or just memories and the info page? i think that with the setup of lj as opposed to a newsgroup, an faq on the web is excessive (and people probably won't read it). i can definitely help select and categorize posts for the memories.

as for the info page, maybe we could add links to fruits and metamorphique (maybe j-rock and general gothic fashion comms too), so if egl isn't exactly what they're looking for, they could go to related communities. and gothic miss manners (http://www.gothicmissmanners.com) always seems to me like a good model of how most lolis feel we should behave.

oh yeah, and i'm so happy about this! congrats!
