Cute hairstyle, but how to do it?

I've just bought the Gothic & Lolita Bible 9. There's as much wonderful stuff as ever - & a poster too! Yay!

But I have a question - on page 53, the girl has the coolest hairstyle. They show you how to do it of course, but I can't make out what's going on in the pictures too well, & I can't read the Japanese instructions. Is there anyone who can help me out here, either by translating the instructions, or being able to make sense of the pictures?

Take your hair and put it into two high ponytails. Then take some of the bottom sections of the ponytail and pin it so it's underneath the rest of the ponytail. Voila! An easier way to pull off a similar effect... Pull your hair up into two high ponytails but....when you loop the elastic around the hair for the last time, don't pull the hair all the way through so the ends of the hair are captured inbetween the loops of elastic. If you need clearer instructions, I can take step by step pics for you.
