<3plaid!<3
Feb. 3rd, 2004 04:23 pmi love plaid, don't you? #^.^# soo...i was wondering..why don't a lot of people use it? i, myself, use a lot of it when i make my egl designs. in fact, i can't seem to get away from it! ^__^; i dunno...i guess i just like the look of it. oh..and plus it matches more things than just plain black or white, ya know what i mean? anyway, here's a piccy of me wearing an old skirt/headpiece/tie i made a while ago. i wore it to school today! =^.^= (p.s., big pictures ahead!!)

hmm...is my shirt open? ack! #>_<#; oops.

ain't i purdy? lol! ^__^; anyway, i like how this particular combination worked out. usually i'm either in all black when i go egl but i wanted a little change in routine...and i kinda forgot that i had this in my closet. my hair's kinda messed up but i put that down due to the fact that it was windy....i swear. -__-;

other pointless pics...hehe, notice my balding patch of grass in the front yard... =^.^=

details, details... here's some close-ups of my tie and headpiece. the little rosette and ribbon/lace on the headpiece is just on one side so i didn't bother to take pictures of both sides of my head... the little silver crest pin with the crown i got from ebay for $50!! >__<; oh well...i thought it was pretty and i really liked it a lot.

skirt detail. notice how the lace doesn't really follow the pattern of the plaid. that's cuz i made the back roughly two inches longer to accomodate my, erm...big fabulous behind! ^o^ i could've added more to the skirt but i wanted something simple and something that i could dress down...and that's all folks! =^.^=
oh...and as much as i love the layered look for winter, it's not exacty practical for summer, ne? ^o^ i'm thinking of buying a bunch of those 3/4 baseball shirts and just reconstructing the hell out of them putomayo-style. #n___n# ah well, that's an idea....
edit: changed my mind. i'm putting the pics behind a cut that way friends pages load easier. ^__^ must think of everyone afterall, ne? =^o^=

Date: 2004-02-04 04:29 am (UTC)I think it's great that you work in plaids... very few home sewing lolis do that. It's very original, and I think our outfit came out really well ^_^.

Date: 2004-02-04 11:14 am (UTC)I'd use plaid more often, but I can never seem to find plaids that I like in the fabric store here. :/

Date: 2004-02-04 10:53 pm (UTC)I love it, too ... but I refuse to call it plaid. ._. It's TARTAN! Heh heh ... that's my one way of being patriotic. ;3
