Petition for the members of egl.

avant_gauche suggested that a petition should be formed since the moderator of this community is no longer with us. I've thought over the idea myself, and I'm sure there are others here who have, as well. So, I suggest we form one with this thread.

Simply 'sign' by stating that you do feel we need a new moderator. Keep entries as short as possible, and on topic. Do not form any other posts for this subject, the community really is already overrun by unnecessary topics. Please try to refrain from ranting or fighting. We need to keep this post as clean and organized as possible. The more 'signatures' we receive, the more likely a new moderator(s) will be assigned.

After this post receives sixty or more unique posts, I will contact someone who may be able to help us. Keep signing even if we hit sixty, because that may or may not be enough. Thank you!

A mod is needed, definitely. A lot of members do things to try and keep everything organized, but there is only so much they can do to help keep things running smooth. I think with a mod we can help cut down on posts about the same topic, and off topic posts because we can have helpful links in the info, helpful posts in the memories, and other things like that.

A moderator who is active is really needed for this community so that off topic posts can be removed, posts that turn into flame wars be closed, grossly inconsiderate users be warned or deleted, enforce the various guidelines the community has come up with by consensus, and all the other things that the moderator of the community is supposed to do that are not currently being done.
