I'm new to the community- I've been watching it on and off, and finally decided to join. I have yet to make a gothic lolita outfit (because I have very little money ><) but I intend to go to my senior prom this spring wearing a gothic lolita outfit. I've been looking at the pictures you've all posted, and I hope that I can manage to sew my dress as nicely.. I've never sewn anything bigger then my Kyo and Mana plushies, lol.

Hello and welcome! Sewing can be confusing just ask us here if you have any questions. Good luck with your project. Do you have Gosu Rori or the Handmade G&L books? They have good ideas if you want to sew your own egl clothes.

unfortunitly I don't have either of those, I'm going to attempt to modify patterns- I found a helpful list of patterns on 'Crosses and Petticoats'. I also have a few patterns from my Gothic and Lolita Bible magazines. ^-^

That's a good place to start. It's easier for a lot of people to use American patterns and alter them.
