self-intro
Jan. 22nd, 2004 10:40 pmHello, everybody! I've been reading this community since December, and since LJ went code-free, I wanted to join. It's great to see so many people around the world sewing, drawing, and/or just dressing up.
My name is Sumire, and I live in Japan right now. I love anime/manga, J-pop, TV variety shows, architecture, and bargain shopping. A friend of mine introduced me to the gothic lolita look a few years ago when the first Bible came out, and I would have been content just to be a spectator, but the more you look, the more appealing it is, and finally last fall I stumbled across this red Jane Marple skirt and frilly petticoat at a recycle shop and couldn't resist. This photo is a print club pic from the Daiso shop in Harajuku, and illustrates the lesson "Don't wear a white shirt to do purikura"--I couldn't see where my shirt ended when I was coloring in the background (I thought the machine would magically do it for me), so my shoulders look kind of funny. ^^;

I love your outfit in that picture; your style and mine are very similar I think. How about Baby The Stars Shine Bright, do you like it? It's my favourite brand....and if you can go to a Kera shop, they're still having a sale right now^_^.
