Hello, everybody! I've been reading this community since December, and since LJ went code-free, I wanted to join. It's great to see so many people around the world sewing, drawing, and/or just dressing up.

My name is Sumire, and I live in Japan right now. I love anime/manga, J-pop, TV variety shows, architecture, and bargain shopping. A friend of mine introduced me to the gothic lolita look a few years ago when the first Bible came out, and I would have been content just to be a spectator, but the more you look, the more appealing it is, and finally last fall I stumbled across this red Jane Marple skirt and frilly petticoat at a recycle shop and couldn't resist. This photo is a print club pic from the Daiso shop in Harajuku, and illustrates the lesson "Don't wear a white shirt to do purikura"--I couldn't see where my shirt ended when I was coloring in the background (I thought the machine would magically do it for me), so my shoulders look kind of funny. ^^;

hi!!

So i saw in your profile that you live in Saitama-ken? Cool! I live in Nagasaki-ken unfortunately, hehe. I wish I could go to Tokyo more....

I love your outfit in that picture; your style and mine are very similar I think. How about Baby The Stars Shine Bright, do you like it? It's my favourite brand....and if you can go to a Kera shop, they're still having a sale right now^_^.

anyway, just saying hi.....hope you don't have as much snow as we do!

Haha I had that problem with purikura too, I magically lost my body in it once XD

Anyway! I love your skirt ^^ I've been wanting a red skirt! And the lace on it is lovely!

Sumire... Hehe, just like that girl from Sakura Taisen... I've never heard that name used elsewhere :P Is it a common name? Or not so common?

welcome to the egl club. I've been a lurker for a while now and just reading the discussions. I'm a guy and I got interested in this by reading reading X-Day by Setona Mizushiro , cause one of the main characters does egl. Welcome to the community :D and yeah, I agree with one of the posters here, you so lucky to live in japan :D
