I really don't want to be flamed, but if you must, go for it.

Some people (me included) got caught up in a little cat fight about nothing. Some of us were offended and stood up for ourselves, and we have been made out to look like stuck up snobs. I don't appreciate that. If you don't like the cat fight, don't read it. If you don't want to be a part of it, don't read it. Anyway...[/rant]

This is my apology for my behavior. I was standing up for myself and a few others. I got to offended and too angry. I am very upset with myself and others. There is free speech in the world and express your opinions, sure, but not so vehemtly that you upset people.

I am upset because people are being torn down for no reason. Telling someone that their post is crap because of a few spelling errors and made up words is a result of a flame war. I think the poster had a sense of humor (why else would he choose to incomperate guerrilla warfare?) and had a good point. No one gets yelled at for using the word "Foodage" in a post. I've heard a teacher use "turst" before. In fact...it's in my vocabulary book. o_O;; It's greek, perhaps that's why it's not in an english dictionary. Anyway, you wonderful dollies used the context clues to get the point of the post, so why are you complaining?(Most of you)

I am also curious to know how someone's introductory post got turned into, "I don't think you should criticize people's clothes!!!!!!" Again, I'm not trying to be mean, but only explain my feelings. I was offended and I'm sorry for that. I have no hard feelings, and it has all been taken way too far. Please, let us just stop this and go back to how it was.

I I/M'ed him. He said he wanted to see how many people would respond to the point, and how many would complain about other things. It was expressing his opinion. It wansn't meant to start a fight at all.

His purpose wasn't to start a fight. To me it seems like you've already chosen your side and you're unwilling to listen to the others. I don't understand how people can just tear someone down because they used big words. It wasn't a big deal. It was a joke. How many times must that be stated?

Just in general, about the misspelling thing. I think some people use it as a form of attack because when you misspell words it makes you appear less intelligent. (I am not saying it means you are, it just makes a person come off as that way, at least to me). One thing we all need to remember is that we do have some people here to whom english is not their first language. It's an awfully hard language to learn, and their are plenty of native speaker who do not know the language well. This is not me trying to harass the original poster, i just have a habit of correcting grammar. You used the word incomperate, (which i believe is not a word) when i am reasonably certain you meant incorporate. Also, you said vehemtly, when it is spelled vehemently. I am not saying any of this to challenge your intelligence, just informing you. Correct spelling is good. It will help you later in life, i promise. I don't claim to be perfect at spelling. in fact, i am a horrible speller. But most text programs and livejournal have a spell check. Use it, it will make people take you seriously.

And while I appreciate the tips, I think you should also double check everything you type. Again...I've noticed a few typos on your part, which proves my point that no one should be torn down for something they wrote in (say) five minutes.

BTW-English is my almost second language, though, I should have mastered it by now.

thank you for writing that apology and explanation. we all got carried away, both the people involved and the people (like myself) who just gave up instead of even trying to rectify the situation. anyhow, thank you and i'm sorry too; i've missed a lot by not wanting to deal with angry people :) cheers!
