My critiques

I have several critical analizisms about these turst individuals that I hope to bring around the recognition (and hopefully their redemption) of their faulty and unstablical ways. (This is a sample of what is forthcoming, please find a dictionary if confused.)

When my significant other told me about this fashion fad (incorporated with a set of morals as well) I thought that the the upstanding individuals who created this truly sophisticated style of life were bringing past a generation of people I would be proud to stand next to and state that we are mankind. What I found more interesting then the neogothic (no one post about another fashion design being neogothic, because EGL is ,according to the english language, neogothic , let me break it down in english for you (Neo-new age , gothic-protaining to medieval design, but in recent years has been used to refer to pre-antebellum times as well. [hint: pre-antebellum refers to times before the United States' Civil War]) fashion apparel is the set of respectable morals not formally taught by any public or peer groups (unless of course one forgets religions and conservative parental guardians).

The hypocrites hiding a'mist your fields. [Quick History Lesson: This phrase comes from guerrilla warfare of the early 18th century, where guerrilla troops would hid in wheat fields to lay ambushes.]

On a personal note I would like to state that I am ashamed at all of you. Is not one of the morals that you should follow in this persona of gentry to be courteous and kind to one another? There are better words to be used then the curt, short-tailed, offensive junk that comes off your heads. If these are the only people you relate to for fashion and inspirational guidance then your in trouble if you argue with them.

Ideally, everyone would be lovely and nice to one another, but as they say, one (or a few more...) bad apples spoil the barrel. One angry post starts many upset posts.

Maybe when everybody is dressed in their finest, they transform? Or so we would like to hope... No-one can adhere to the Gothic & Lolita lifestyle 24/7... Heaven knows the Japanese Lolita's don't. But when one is dressed as an Elegant Gothic Lolita, I would hope one would act like an Elegant Gothic Lolita. ^_^

That's true. I don't have much the chance to dress even remotely EGL, but the concept of the style just intrigued me, and it really is dumb that people just can't get along, but like they said, internet breeds stupidity, or people who think they are the "more loli than others".. It just gets old after a while.
And you're right. Nobody really DOES follow through with the EGL style day in and day out, because when you dress and act the same way all the time, not only will everyone get sick of you, you'll get sick of yourself, right?

I have the pleasure of frequently conversing with people who are both intelligent and have an excellent grasp of the English language, and let me tell you - from what I see here, you are not that type of person. Please refrain from this style of speech unless you can use it properly, and have something of substance underneath it all - because as far as I can tell, the only things you are saying here are that lolitas should be nice to each other, and that the people here spoiled your conception that lolitas are the epitome of mankind. (Very grand idea, I must say!) You didn't quite need 4 paragraphs, a couple insults, a few fake words and a "quick history lesson" to say that.

Oh.. this is my first post on this comm, only been watching a few days. *waves to everyone* LOL. I guess I picked a bad time to join, but posts like this are a pet peeve of mine so I had to jump in... :) I'll likely make a proper introductory post when things settle down, and I actually have something to say. ^_^

1) It's the inability to be quiet and demure that's had me keeping my trap shut since my last post. The reaction to yours that's gotten me to open it back up.
2) A really good point was just made and only one of you got it. The rest of you who started going on about the spelling, cork it. If you met yourself on the street acting like you are now, you'd think they were worse.
3) The rest of you, except for that one, are being the exact opposite of what you're preaching you have to be perfect at: EGL. It's not just in the clothes, but the character, and the latter leaves a much better impression on people. I can't achieve that, so I'm certainly not going to lash out like a mongoose at the first thing that points out the truth. Eat your words, lovies. You are a bunch of rude and arrogant fools. Nobody's trying to be intellectual.
4) Drama belongs in the theatre.

I'm new here, but I have already seen what you mean.

I love every style, gothic lolita, renaissance, romantic goth, victorian, etc. (I'm on a big sweet lolita and little big girl phase right now) and I need inspiration from all people. Everyone can offer something different but I just got upset when that girl posted her auctions and people got mad over it since it wasn't lolita to them, but I was glad she posted it because I got to experience what someone else likes and also get a chance to own something they like. Open-mindedness = good. *stops ranting* I don't wish to get on anyone's bad side. :o/

Um... the term "neo-gothic" is what we like to call Engrish. The Japanese made it up because it sounds cooler than "goshikku." "neo-goshikku" is by far better sounding and makes the fashion so much more hardcore. I guarantee you it has nothing to do with new age 18th century architecture.

I think you're merely trying to back something up so that you can at least make an attempt at looking somewhat intelligent. But if you want to look intelligent, you don't have to post like this. I would have sympathised with the fact that you seem to have decided to become an intellectual, were it not for the fact that, even upon the third time trying to read your post, I still cannot manage to find any sort of point in your "analizisms". english is to complexe to put in one book. If you look more, english is structured so you can create your own words basicly. Analyze can become and noun if you add ism to the in, so therefore analizims is born. Fun language. You can do the same in spanish too.

Um, hi..? I didn't really take the time to read through this pile of...whatever it is, but the fact that it was as crummy as it was, and it still recieved a whopping 100-something comments is ...both astounding and utterly ridiculous.

I wish there was as much action in the community on non-controversial posts as there was as much energy spent in wars and flames like these. I'm growing so tired of the arguing.
