I'm selling these on eBay... Thought someone in here might find these interesting. Click on the pic below to be magically transported to the auctions. ^___^

Okay, I really like your clothes, but this isn't the list for them. They usually have no aspects of sweet lolita or EGL, and the only piece up there that might fit in on this time around is the handbag, which can be a sweet lolita acessory, but the rest of it really isn't appropriate. This list gets off-topic as it is, so in the nicest way possible, I ask that you not post here if the items don't meet the definition of EGL or sweet lolita.

Uhm, some of the clothes within the ebay list itself are definitely EGL. I guess everyone is just referring to the pictures listed on the page. ::shrug::

For instance:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=48869&item=2882788591

This rules and I want it.

That wasn't my point as to wether people would wear it or not. The fact is that this is a community for Elegant Gothic Lolita fashion and all the variations thereof. it is based on Victorianesque style clothing which is elegant, modest, and beautifully designed.

That short mini-skirt is an example of Western Lolita clothing which is meant to provoke a cute sexuality. A typical example of EGL clothing would be a skirt that was gathered and came down to about mid thigh or longer. Therefore, your auction items are appropriate for the Little Big Girl community, but not the EGL community.

We have politely asked sellers to restrict their auctions to clothing which is appropraite for this community many times, and been ignored. We are trying to preserve the integrity and styles of our community, and your attitude is not respectful of our wishes. Please understand that I don't wish to have a nasty argument with you, but I will become upset if you continue to disregard the spirit of this community.

I agree. Those clothes nor the purse are. They may be cute but should be posted to a western loli list.

Well I think they are all really cute and I'd so wear the purple skirt if it fit me! <3

That's not the point, it shouldn't be posted on this list. This list is for EGL related auctions, tips, and pictures. Do you really want a community full of spam?

This is why metamorphique was founded.

None of these things are egl.

The skirt would be more egl if it were of better color and not as short as 13". A proper egl skirt is at shortest 18" (for Japanese size) and to western sized girls about 19½" is good length. 13" is TOO far short for EGL, 13" is a length that i wouldn't wear, even as non-egl-skirt. >_<;;

Please get this thing into your head: microskirts is NOT EGL. Even though if they may be decorated as EGL they're not EGL if they're of micro-mini length.

EGL is not about sexuality, it is about modest cuteness.

*titter*

i must be a japanese sized westerner. 18" is my perfect loli skirt length, and 13-14" is my perfect microskirt length.

Hey, it may not be egl, but it could be sweet lolita going out to the club. I think what she has is great for that! I especially love that short skirt, but it would be more club wear, you know?

while i do think your auctions are very cute (and i think i bid on one last night, if the hk thong was yours, and was considering another), i do agree that the items pictured here are not EGL. they are much more of a kinderwhore/little big girl fashion. what confuses me is that a whole bunch of your other auctions are much, much more EGL than what i see here, yet to post your auctions to this community you chose those three items.

For all of you who said banal things "like that's so cute! luv ur stuff! how sweet!" you completely missed the purpose and the point of this community.

IT'S FOR EGL CLOTHING.

Not lolita, not "cute stuf", not sexy clothing, not fruits, not thrift store finds, not Western-style clothes.

It is for EGL only. A place for EGL clothing, EGL auctions, and EGL talk. You completely defeat the purpose of having a community for this subject by littering the pages with off-topic posts and auctions which ARE CLEARLY NOT EGL.

If you find something in a thrift store that has to do with EGL, post it.
If you find a hot pink mini-skirt with a daisy pinned on it, don't throw a row of lace on the bottom and call it sweet lolita. Because it's not. And by posting it, you ruin the integrity of the community.

And by agreeing with such behaviors you ruin the integrity of the community.

And by not making your voice heard, you ruin the integrity of the community.

This is why metamorphique was founded, and regardless of how people view it as snobby, or elitist, or arrogant, at least there is a measure of control over what constitutes EGL vs. non-EGL posts. It's a far more enjoyable community to belong to because it allows its memembers to interact without having to wade through meaningless posts full of crap.

But what if people have differing opinions on the lolita style?

A seductive adolescent girl.

Heh...Anyway...
Her stuff is nice..and I think it does have elements of EGL to be perfectly honest. Especially the linked dress.
Also...I'm sure people in this community don't dress EGL-ly all the time and a lot of them would probably be very interested in her clothes..But meh...I'm guessing you're the moderator or something?

P.S ...I'm sorry but how is this:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=48869&item=2882762110
NOT egl?

this argument wouldn't be here if thunderwear had posted the black dresses that you other lolis had picked out of her auctions. *but* the fact of the matter is that she didn't... i understand that there is a vast amount of diversity within the egl fashion but i would have to agree with miyu_sakura. you could just *tell* is something isn't or is egl...and the ones that thunderwear chose to put up on her original post leans more towards lbg than egl.
