This community is for adults or those "coming of age" who feel their hearts and minds were left behind in childhood.

We missed the boat on the way to maturity, and we like it that way!

Somehow failing to develop responsible adult urges like wanting to get married, have children, get a mortgage, etc. (*Note: Those listed do NOT automatically disqualify you from this community.)

If your peers who are pairing off, reproducing, or expiring at a rapid rate have left you feeling like an outsider in your own world, you are welcome to come stay young in ours.

Erm, to be frank, this community is more about fashion and elegance than immaturity and childishness. While EGL does support the idea of childlike innocence, it is with grace and elegance, not a refusal to accept the burdens of life.

I agree Japanese G&L isn't about acting like a "little girl" or "childish" is about fashion and elegance.

The name is a little unfortunate, I agree, but the nature of the community is more to do with those of us approaching 30 or in our 30's who have not shaken off our childhood ideals of the world, and do not feel like fitting in with the mundanity of the 2.4 children mentality of the majority of people.

I felt that EGL (being a part of us that likes the child-like fashion sense and innocent ideals) would somehow fit with those of us who still feel like young teenagers even if we are getting older...

I apologise if you do not think it appropriate for this community, and I have not spammed it anywhere else but one Alice community that I am also a member of.

Yes, the name is misleading (it wasn't my choice), but if you only took a look at the community itself I think you might understand a bit better.

I think it's a good community and appropriate to the mindset of some EGLs (some really only think it's about fashion, but others believe there is a mindset). I'm only 17, but sometimes I feel wrong when I'm around people my own age. :/ And while EGL isn't my escape to act like a "little girl" persay, it does allow me to think like another person, unburdened with inelegance. n.n;;
