Okay here's the problem. I'm making this dress and where the bodice meets the skirt I had planned on putting a band of satin ribbon to cover up the seam I also have satin ribbon around the sleeves at the end and tied in a bow. Now the ribbon on the sleeves came out good but the ribbon around the dress comes out wrinkly and it looks bad. I need to find something to cover the seam. Any suggestions? The dress is black and white and the ribbon I was using was black because white was too see-through. I was thinking maybe a band of white fur. And if I do the fur should I remove the ribbon from the sleeves even though it came out okay or should I leave it?

first I would try using heavier ribbon so that it wouldn't crinkle. like a thick velvet ribbon, or the heavy sort of embroidered ribbons. If that didn't work switch to something like fur, yes. Check how the ribbons look against the finished project. If you keep them color coordinated I wouldn't think you'd need to remove them from the sleeves.
