I finished this about a month or so ago, but I wanted to share with you all. I made a kitty eared egl style poncho. Last winter I found an adorable poncho on BtSSB's site and fell in love with it, so I based mine off of that design. Its all soft and fleecy. ^-^

Yeah, I used a pattern by either McCalls or Simplicity (I can't remember which). I had to shorten it by quite a bit and add all the details (hood, trim, etc.)

Thank you! I've been sewing on a machine since I was 12 (I'm 20 now), so I'm fairly adept at it. ^^

that's adorable! you're amazing at sewing. did you make the pompoms on the hood strings yourself or did you buy them?

also, would you mind if i made something similar? i may do bunny ears instead though, since i already have a hoodie with cat ears :3

Thank you! Actually, I just bought the pompoms since its soooo much easier to do that.
Hehe, actually, the one made by Baby was bunny eared. I just like kitty ears better ^^ But by all means, feel free to make one like it.

Oh my ... that is utterly adorable! I';m sure it probably wouldn't be too hard to sew together (I'm no expert when it comes to that, though ... ^~), but you've managed to get it looking really professional and cleanly finished ... *le sigh*! Oh, and the little ears on the hood and the pom-poms make me want to squeal. The person who wins it will be truely lucky ... I wish I had enough money to bid! ^^; Good luck on selling it.

That is truly beautiful. So many people try to create their own Lolita clothes, but yours is the first I've seen that actually looks like it was professionally made by a Japanese label! Incredible work! Please keep sharing your creations with us in the future~

Fleece. I would have made it from wool, but its a)pricy and hard to find around here anc b)a pain to clean (dry cleaning is so expensive!)

I would have guessed it was wool, because it looks very wool like to me in the picture.
One other advantage with fleece - its light weight. Wool is heavy...
