Punk lolita cutsew with wings

hey!
I saw this design on a Y!japan auction and fell in love with it so decided to improve on it to make my own. After a first initial go which i loved, i made another, fancier one for you guys.

The design is my own of alice and the white rabbit. it's hand painted and purposely distressed ^_^ The grey marks you can see is a fabric paint called 'holographic' which has a lovely slight sheen.

The neck is detachable with poppers for easy fitting around the neck.

The wings are made from fake leather and stick out slightly when worn. You can just see them peeking out from the sides when you're seen front on and also look cute with a sideways view.

It's a size small (UK 8-10) I'd ideally like £15-£20 for this. I accept paypal and personal cheques if you're in britain. P&P will be however much it costs beacuse my number one hate is sellers making money in shipping. I'll invoice you for the rest of the amount when i've had it weighed. I only ship recorded due to all the recent paypal scandals.


So what does everybody think? I'm happy but is this something anyone is interested in? I'd love to do commissions - i could have the tee any colour (subject to avalibility), i have black and white eyelet tape, and could do any design in any colour. I'm also making knee length socks with wings on the back.

yeah you're right. My version has just the back without a print or neckstrap. japanese punk brands do tend to have hella busy stuff - the original of this had a huge print and zip on the shoulder which was connected to a collar with a chain.

alice has nothing to do with wings but i love wings and i love alice/card themes. It was just a picture i had drawn recently and decided to paint. ahh the randomness of testers...

What styles of shirt could you do and what kinda pricing would each follow?

style of shirt... never made puff sleeves and have never found anywhere to buy teeshirt material so i guess they're out. Unless i could find a blank one to adapt.

I'm indulging muself in tee modification websites/communities at the moment so really it's a case of you saying what you want and me saying yes/no.

yep, you can have words. Artisticly wise, i think you were interested in a portrait a long time ago so you know the extent of my painting skillz :)

have you seen my headresses? and portraits obviously. I did have metal mini crowns for sale but im unable to make them anymore. i do however have one plastic one (doesn't look plastic) and a metal one that i could re-decorate to your specs. i've been paid for graphical design work...

I'm getting some teeshirts, strappy tops and bags professionally flock printed which would look better than hand printed but as the cost of these is high, adapting them for corsettry/wings etc would push the price much higher...

Ok, I would like one in white, but with black eyelet tape, ribbon, and wings.

For the design: Roses, stylised and simplified to look less rosey and more jagged (if you understand what I mean, if you don't I can try messing in MSPaint to give a rough idea, with the thorns being all curly and wild and coming up into the word 'Vespertine'. All in black.

How much would it be, how long would it take? :D

You've caught me at a bit of a busy time :D i leave uni and move home tuesday but i'd like to spend the week with my boyfriend where i won't have access to a sewing machine. On the 27th i'm going up to london for my show until 4th/5th

BUT :D i can do the design, buy your tee and the ribbon monday and make it and post it on the 26th-27th if you want it soon.

I love the idea of the roses coming from the bottom at the back, rising up over my shoulder (and a little round the sides) and then the letters over the chest.

the front hand painted. Since i've just completed a fine art degree i guess it's easier for me to just paint away. But yeah a stencil should probably have been made

i haven't got a good picture of the print. By distressing i mean the lines and scratches on alice and the white rabbit which you can't see well. The playing cards aren't distressed, they're painted that way

and the grey marks look like smudgy fingerprints coz they are ^_^

aww thanks. it's two pieces of leatherette pinned with outside edges together, sewn along the top, turned the right way in and then sewn together along the rest of the edges.

They're sewn under the eyelet tape with the top right hand corner sewn to the teeshirt so they stick out

Holy crap, is that awesome! I love the screenprinting design, and I love all the fun original additions to it. Even though wings have absolutely nothing to do with Alice, who really cares?

The only thing I'm not sure about is the neck loop part seems to just be randomly attached to the front. I don't know, it looks like the ends should either extend somewhere, or should be covered up. Most brand tops with that have it attaching underneath the fabric, right? It doesn't detract that much from it, it just looks a little odd to me.

You know, I bet it would look cool to do the corseting/wings on a simple blouse, too. :D
