Ok so new question- I want to cosplay as Mana or something similar at a convention in early next year, I really want some of thos cool looking mary-jane-type shoes with big heels that you see all the time in pictures, but I'm a guy and my foot size is like a 12, how in the world (or where) would I get some appropriate shoes at a reasonable price, other than consulting some shoe-making elves?

when i went to Torrid the other day to get a similar pair, they told me they had them in sizes up to men's. you might want to check the website.

I'm actually going through the same problem here. Try measuring your foot against a women's shoe size scale (like they have at Wal-Mart). If you wear a 12 in Men's you're probably a 10 or 11 in Women's. I found a pair on eBay in size 11 (which haven't come yet but hopefully soon), and there's a fairly decent selection at http://www.snaz75.com. Honestly though you'll be fine finding shoes if you fit into a 10.

Hmm good to know, I guess I'll try that too. It's hard for guys to find good shoes to cosplay in! Guys shoes are usually so plain looking :(

I've never posted in this community before, but I've been stalking it for awhile.
I am a girl with big feet so I thought I would put my two cents in.
I wear a women's 11 which means that I wear a men's size 9.5 or 10.
So I just thought I would point out that if you wear a men's size 12, that you would more than likely wear a women's size 13 or 14.
Also... when ordering fetishy type shoes and boots, if you can order a size larger. They almost *always* run small! Your feet will thank you.

Women's sizes are actually larger than men's. (I'm an 8.5 in womens, 6.5 in mens). If you're a 12 mens, you'd be a 14 women's. The only place to get size 14 womens shoes are stores or sites that cater to cross dressers. If you live in a liberalish city, there's probably somewhere to buy crossdresser shoes in your town (we have a couple here in Seattle). Otherwise, poke around online. It's pretty easy to find j-rockish shoes on sites for crossdressers and transexuals :)

eleqtrique boutique will have something good for you, and cheapish too, though they charge extra for sizes above a 13 I think. You'll actually be a (US) women's 14, our sizes are bigger than yours. You can also check out dragqueenshoes.com they'll probably have a bigger size availble too.
