Got my Gothic & Lolita Bible #9 in the mail yesterday. It's probably old news already to some of you guys ;) I just subscribed to them through J- List. Anyway, decided to scan my favorite outfits:

Especially this skirt:

Especially the bodice!

My husband's favorite company:

Especially this cute set:

you can kind of see the girl on the far right wearing it. Kitty in the background!

Me thinks this is Kana and her brother?

Kana and ppl in Kana outfits? Kana cosplayers or back up singers?

The strawberry skirt has a pattern. I may use this as I have recently bought some furry camo material that needs to be molded:

Union Jack is fab for punky-style clothes. If he likes Union Jack, he needs to look at the h.Naoto blood line.

That's Kana and Ryutaro of Plastic Tree. The furry camo might not work well with that skirt style, due to the ruffle at the bottom.

Actually, that's not Ryuutarou. It's a model from "Kana's Strawberry House" named... well, it could be a lot of stuff along the lines of Dentsu or Dento or Nanto or Nantsu or Ayu-usagi. >_<;; The two separate kanji of his name mean "sweetfish" and "rabbit." Kana's going hardcore with her fashion line and setting up models and shtuff... it looks like Ryuutarou, but Ryuu-chan hasn't done anything for the GLB since volume 1. I don't think. o_O;;

Really? They look so much alike. I didn't think he'd done anything for GLB in a while, but that could have simply been wishful thinking.

They look EXACTLY alike. It's frightening. But I read the little blurb about him at the bottom and it said his name was sweetfish rabbit (I SO wish I could read >_<;;), so yeah. Unless Ryuutarou decided to start a secret career as a Kana model with a new name, that'll be someone different.

Not to mention when we saw Plastic Tree live Ryuutarou's hair was all spikey and old-school Kirito-ish. o_O;;

Lace and camo? Might provide an interesting contast, but I'm not sure how it would look. I can't really see camo being used for a skirt like that. If you want pockets, maybe use a solid fabric and make the pockets out of the camo. But, again, skirts like that aren't meant to have pockets. The strawberry fabric it's made of is much more suited to the style of the skirt.

I'm not saying not to do it, but I'm not sure you'll be pleased with the outcome, and it's a shame to waste time, effort and fabric.

Oh, see... I hate that outfit. I just hate the style, the way it looks and the combination of fabrics. I'm not a camo girl. It could work, but I don't think even Kana pulls it off. ^^;;;

Right, it is. Good luck with it then. I hope you can make it work. :)

The h.Naoto fashion line is wonderful. I can sew elegant lolita clothes, but you can't reproduce the naoto fabrics, with the gothic style texts and the occult imagery. The blue-white girl is also gorgeous. I always enjoy the Riku No Heya pictures and ofcourse Miyavi...I think the cover from Macoto is great too.

The gothic lolita bibles are awfully expensive, but they're so worth buying. I would love to have some Fruits or Kera magazines as well, but I don't know where to order it on the web.

I'll check out your link as well. I've got my bibles from susagabooks.com, they ship very quick (a few days!), but I don't believe they have the other magazines.
