Hi everyone, I'm new to this community and EGL in general but I love the style and want to start putting together outfits for myself. I am a guy, but I still would like to dress as a Lolita (instead of an Aristocrat). I've been browsing the net for clothes for the past few days but I'm not really sure what to start. I'm not too sure what all goes into an outfit, if it would be just a dress (or skirt and blouse), petticoat, headpiece, socks/stockings and shoes? Also could anyone recommend some good stores online (I don't know if I'm up to buying clothes in regular stores yet) to get clothes? I don't have enough sewing ability to make my own clothes, but hopefully one day I'll get there. Anyway, any help would be greatly appreciated!

Well, if you're wanna go all out Loli than petticoats and the stuff you listed is pretty much a good idea..
If you want to start out a little more set back though, a blouse and skirt would be good :3 and some stockings~
...and you absolutely can not forget mary janes ^3^

Sewing is an aquired skill~ online stores? Well, there's a lot of japanese sites..and a few english ones that custom make outfits. I second the taking pictures dealie XD

Thanks for the suggestion! My only problem is that I won't fit into most of the stuff that comes from Japan (gotta lose a few pounds first). Still I'll definitley keep that in mind!
