$89 for a pinafore? I have to beg to differ. Even custom sized, I doubt the quality of the peice either in materials or craftsmanship would live up to ninety bucks. The biggest problem with sissy stuff is that people are willing to pay outrageous prices for things that they feel they need to hide. It's the same way with anything "naughty" or taboo really.
No it really does have everything to do with the taboo-ness of it all. Every cross dressing site I've ever seen has prices that are really quite ludicrous not to mention that any item on ebay marked "sissy" goes for at least 2 to 3 times what it is actually worth.
I see your argument and don't really disagree, it's just like the added markup for plus sized clothing and custom clothing is always more pricey to begin with. However, based on the photos, I can't imagine that any dress on that site is worth more than $100 and most of them are priced at least twice that.
So for $200 your basically getting an extra large square dancing dress in satin. I could see spending $200 on a custom loli dress, but for what those dresses are, they're not worth the prices.
And I'm not one of the anti-square dancing dress league, I own quite a few, which is why I recognize the dress patterns. Most SD dresses new run between 30 and 50 dollars. 80-90 for some of the nicer/frillier ones. 150 absolute tops for a custom dress.
So to pay between 200-300 for something that's not even the quality of a custom square dancing dress is, in my humble opinion, pretty silly.

my boss and I stumbled across that site the other day when we were looking to see what other costume sites looked like.
We couldn't help but laugh.
