Hi everyone <3
I just joined, but that's beside the point. Couple days ago some one posted about egl hairstyles but i think it got overlooked, so i thought maybe i could ask again, what are some tips for nice egl hairstyles, particulary ones that dont require loooong long hair (my hair is just inches past my shoulders) any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks much <3

I have loooong hair too (half-way down my back long), and I've been searching webpage after webpage for good EGL hairstyles for long hair..and not having the best of luck. I dont have bangs so I can't wear the fun lacey headbands like they do to keep their betty-bang wigs on. My only thought is to put the hair up in pigtails and then curl the hell out of it. Or if you like the teased up look: tease the hair up with lots of aqua-net and then shape it...I saw some photos of Mana with this look.

Best of luck (to both of us!)

There's an ebay seller selling bangs here (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3431272938&category=45266&rd=1). As for sites selling them, I know of Dr Locks (http://www.drlocks.net/bangs.htm) & Angelemma (http://www.angelemma.com/) (the latter is UK-based). I've bought from both the Ebay seller & Angelemma & am happy with the service from both.

That's about as long as most Japanese girls' hair. Very few of them keep theirs longer than that. But all the gothlolis have bangs...

A LOT of the girls with the 2-ponytail style are wearing falls. They don't actually spend hours curling waist-length hair into perfect ringlets. No way. Sometimes they use their own hair for straight or wavy ponytails, but the ringlet styles are done with hairpieces. If you like the style and would wear it a lot, it might be worth investing in some of your own.

But a lot of girls just stick a headdress on top of their medium or medium/long length hair without doing anything special at all. As long as the hair's longer than chin-length and they have bangs, they're good to go. There's really no need for elaborate styles. ^^

If you don't have bangs, I'd reccommend fake bangs. (usually called fringe) that you clip in and hide with a headpeice.

Fake hair in general is my favorite thing.
Pigtails are really cute, but if your hair dosn't curl good I'd reccommend some curly falls.
These are my curly falls:

You can wear falls like that and it looks like you have curly hair. ^_^

Hope it helped.
If you're interested, I can give you some links to where you can buy fake hair.

If you mean links to sites selling falls, then I can think of a few. I see you're US-based, so there's Ragdoll (http://www.ragdolly.net/) & Dr Locks (http://www.drlocks.net/) (the curly falls are in the braiding hair section on Dr Locks BTW). For those in the UK, there is Afrocare (http://www.afrocare.com/trd/pages/index.htm). A lot of the hair here has been on by 'want want want!!!' list for some time ;-).

I order all my stuff from www.drlocks.net www.black-and-blue.net and www.synthlox.com

I'd highly reccommend both those sites. Black and blue sells curly falls like the all white ones I have under "unique falls" They're kind of expensive but they're the cheapest I've found.
Just go look around, you'll probably find what you're looking for.

Another really good method is Ebay.

Avoid www.ragdolly.net like the plague. I've heard AWFUL things about their servece. Like they take your money and never ship your order.

One word: wigs! Scout about & find some cheap ones (they needn't be skin top as you can easily hide a parting with a headpiece. Maybe get one of those wavy wigs with straight bangs? They'd look wonderful with a headpiece.
