I am attempting to make the bloomers out of the 2nd bible. Howvere, i only have the pattern and not the book itself, so if anyone could scan the page for me, or tell me what that long strip is for, i will be very thankful :D

well, my scanner is being ghetto, so let me see if I can explain...

You should have 4 pattern pieces...
bloomer front (cut 2)
bloomer back (cut 2)
waistband (cut 1 on fold)
and what looks to be an leg elastic guide that you need to cut 2 of.

It looks like the guide gets sewn to the legs, and then the elastic threaded thru it so that the elastic isn't directly on your legs...

that helped immensely :) thank you. It confused me cause its longer than the width of the area its supposed to be on x_X
