Just a funny story I remembered... ^_^

egl_archiveI don't know why I thought of telling this story two weeks after it happened, but I did. I was browsing through the eBay auctions and remembering something that happened to me in Harajuku on Takeshita St., and figured I'd share.
I was all dolled up in EGL style on our last night in Tokyo (a fluffy ribbon and lace skirt and black velvet cape with white lace trim, white socks and platform mary janes to be exact) and walking down Takeshita St. to go to Book Off. It was about 8:30 at night, and all of the shops were closing up. As I strolled, I passed a couple with bleach blond hair and super tanned skin- typical Gal style. The boyfriend, while holding his girlfriend's hand, stops and stares at me. His jaw drops, and he looks me in the eyes and goes, "Kakkoi na!" (That's really cool/sexy!) This is all while walking with his girlfriend, obviously on a date. Anyways, the girlfriend dragged him off, pretty clearly disgusted, and I continued down the street with a giant smirk on my face.
Moral of the story: EGL Gaijin have the power to steal Japanese Gal's boyfriends. ^_~
