Aug. 15th, 2003 11:55 amDoes anyone know of a good place to buy cheap trim? Cheaptrim.com is great, but buying the whole spool at $27 rather defeats the purpose, especially when I need several different styles.
Oh, and potential Seattle Tea Party participants: I've had enough interested lolis to go ahead with the planning. I'm scouting locations (I have a few good ones in mind, but I think they're too spread out to visit them all in one afternoon -_-;) and trying to work out a date. I'll keep you posted :)

Date: 2003-08-16 12:55 pm (UTC)As for places, I'd really like to end the evening at Dilletante (sp? Can't spell French to save my life) because the chocolate's so good, naturally, and it's somewhat elegant. I'd also like to do something during the day and so I'm trying to come up with places that would make good photographs. Aquarium pictures are really neat, but I don't know if a bunch of loli's wanna go to an aquarium. *shrug*

merriergothier, to be sure! ^_^*Places that would make good photographs? Are there any really gothy places in Seattle? I know there must be a cathedral here, at least.
There aren't too many, really. There are a few psuedo-goth buildings at my college (UW) but they're sort of happy, early 20th Century gothy (I'm going to go look again, anyway.) But if we could get into the reading room, that might be a good spot... Dunno, would have to check. I'm trying to walk around town with new eyes -- if I can't find hidden potential anywhere we're never going to have any luck.
You're right, aquarium pictures would be cool, but I think it wouldn't be fun to hang around in a dark aquarium full of tourists and little kids all day.
Very true. If people are available, I might go with a Wednesday afternoon or something, so we can avoid tourists as much as possible where ever we decide to go.
We could definitely go down to the Ave (or maybe Broadway). There's lots of interesting things to see down there, as well as a goth store and some consignment shops.
Nyargh. Broadway definitely better. I live a block from the ave, and in addition to not wanting to hang around my house for the afternoon, the Ave pretty much sucks. There are two consignment stores, Red Light, which is okay but expensive and not all that goth-friendly, and Buffalo Exchange, which is trendy clothes. There's the Gargoyle store, but that's more amusing that gothy, and other than that there's just a bunch of Ave Rats and Rite Aide Bum Kids that would *really* harass us if we walked by in lolita wear. (God I hate the ave.) But Broadway, on the other hand, is a lot friendlier toward weirdos (and sometimes has better stuff at the consignments), and houses Dilletante, which would def. be nice :)
