Hi, I just joined this community. The more I look into it, the more I love the gothic lolita look. I've always been into the gothic look--more of lace and ruffles. Puffy stuff, Victorian, punkish-goth and I love Mana's outfits!::::drools::: I love "sight seeing" the clotheswear. Although, sadly, I don't often wear them. And they're very hard to wash! +_+ I'm afraid they'll rip on me and dry-cleaning is out of my league! (poor college student) err...anyway, i would love to see pictures of gothic-lolita wears.

welcome welcome, and thanks so much for joining! I too am a poor college student and feel your pain...I find it a lot cheaper making my own stuff, but it's time consuming in my hectic school schedule :/ (school schmool!) ...I also don't have a sewing machine at school either....boooo but welcome to the community none the less!!

thank you! My only wish is that my school would at least have a sewing class! But it doesn't. -___- I've been wanting a sewing machine for awhile [i have a broken one in the gargage--no longer alive...i doubt i can resurrect it either]...and I really want to sew my own stuff but I don't know how. <-_-> I just love putting old dresses and such together to get a new attire. it's fun that way! but that is as far as my talent goes in making fashion. //+_+\\

cheap, reusable, and you can do it in the dryer....
works just like dry cleaning. There is another product out there that you don't even need the big plastic bag for, just pop it in with the clothes in the dryer, and voila!

most stuff like that you can also get by with handwashing, but then it ends up all wrinkly and you have to iron it. o.O

so...go with the in-the-dryer home dry cleaning stuff.

Then again, I haven't washed my leather pants since I got them (I'm sure you want to know that XD) cause..I can't afford to get them cleaned. blargh. I don't wear them very often either

I groan whenever I buy new clothes that has to be handwashed! I am just not very good at keeping my closet away from accumlating handwash articles nowadays. *_* I wish all dresses would be machine-washable!

[i understand about your leather pants situation. i bought a bondage black skirt for TOOOO much money and now, I am afraid to wash it. I only washed it once since...*hopefully, it'll stay away from stinkin up*]

GAWD yes. I hate handwash dryclean only.

I found this lovely knit top that fits me perfectly, etc. etc. for 10 dollars at a consignment shop. (ok, it's 100% silk...) yepo. handwash/dry clean only.

[well, I solve that problem by errrr..airing the pants out and of course wearing tights under them so they don't meld to my legs. BLARGH leather is so hot and sweatey!]
