32" waist huge? x_X;;; I would hate to be around those people that think that. :( That sucks. But even if it is based on asian sizes, if she's in america she should give it american sizing labels. At least that's what i think. Although, I technically didn't check if she was or wasn't.. >_<;
I have a thirty-inch waist as well, and I'm appalled that most clothing labeled medium does not fit me. Too many companies have really warped ideas of sizes...
her sizing is soooo wierd! i'm usually a 2x/3x, but when i look at her sizing it's like...for perfect hourglass bodies!! yeah, right!!! how realistic is that?? isn't the standard waist sizing for 2x around 44"-46"? o__O;;
Well, that sounds more like a 3x to me, but it could be a 2x too. I wear XL, usually. XL used to be about 38-40" then 2x 40-42", etc. (then you look at lip service's sizes.. and it's like WTF.) It's annoying to see people constantly make clothes like that when maybe only 5% of all america has that figure.
I, um, actually have a perfect hourglass -- although my boobs are on the bigger side of the hourglass -- and I can't find annnnnny retail clothes. They're all made for straight-line-figures... either really really skinny straight line ones, or "plus size" boxy figures.
;_; I like Rose and Thorn's auctions, they're usually my exact measurements... just way too expensive.
On a related but stupid note: I FRIGGIN HATE CLOTHES SIZES!! Augh! None of them make any sense at all, ever! I'm a medium from one company and a 2X from another!
I'm 44-32-44"... which is usually a, what, XL? Size 16?
I just bought a size 11 dress at JCPenny's the other day. @_@ Clothing sizes make me crazy. Everyone should use measurements. *nods*
Well, lately when i was looking at clothes they seemed to be. Didn't mean for my comment to sound rude, if it did. Never meant i didn't like them. Just don't like the sizing or price. ^^;
*giggles* Aww! We should look for each others' clothes, then... *nods* ^_~
Myu... I definitely think her stuff is too expensive, but it just is nice to see her auctions -- I think she sells the prototypes, and her model (herself?) must have almost the same measurements as me. It's just somehow nice to see that when most dolly dresses are for a bust 36" ^-^;;; (not that one is better! but it's reassuring for me. ^-^)
I ask the same, where the heck is the front? ^^; They didn't have it on their homepage either... Silly. Otherwise I think it's a nice dress ^^ I can't find anything wrong with it, at least.
I have no idea why she just posted a picture of the back of it... I wouldn't buy a dress just based on what the back of it looks like! I'm more worried about the front of me! Despite the fact it's made of a suitable fabric, I think it's ugly as! It just reeks of "adult halloween costume", not "Elegant Gothic Lolita"! I can't honestly believe someone would really pay $100 for that@_@
just so there's no confusion, there's more than one anonymous person. i didn't post that comment, okay? i was the 2x waist measurement person. i'm sorry that other person offended you.
From what I've observed, R&T uses a lot of slick-looking, easily-wrinkled satin. It reminds me of Halloween costumes, bondage or adult baby fetish clothing. Everything from that seller looks like good workmanship, but I can't help but feel it doesn't really fit into the category of EGL.
