I make tons of egl headpieces. I use various materials like high quality thick satin ribbon (even as a base if it's edged with lace, much more manageable than cutting satin as it frays like mad). Tons of types of lace, edge lace (one side is ruffly one is just flat ribbon so it can be attached to sides), frilly middle lace, bows, flowers, everything I can get my hands on. Elastic works great for holding them on, but ribbons are good too for that super girly look. I often stick a backing of good black felt on the bottoms of my headpieces, for durability, it also helps push the lace frill up. If you want any more pointers feel free to ask me specifics. n_n Hope this helped! Happy headpiece making.

ooh, thanks for that, I was just wondering about making a headpiece myself. I saw the perfect lace the other day at walmart, haha.

I need to find more lace myself. Its super hard to find black lace, so a hint from me is, if you see nice black lace somewhere, buy it!
hehe.

Ooh I'll have to try wallmart.
Hey, it is lace, so if it works use it. XD

really?
I'd suggest checking out a walmart around you then, because I saw hot pink, yellow, green, and black lace too. They had all sorts of colors
(mostly the same lace design, just diff. colors)

This may very well be my first comment/post in this community, but I just had to say, I love your Brian Molko icon.
