Hi. I was considering buying this headdress thinggy. Does any one have pictures of it worn in updo's to figure out my own coordinations, not to mention to see how big it is compared to an actual head?

Thanks a ton for your replys in advance! C:

(Wow, I'm getting a bit more talkative on this community. Who'd have thought?)

I'll keep things simple. As the title alludes, I'm planning on opening my own Lolita Etsy shop in a few weeks or so. I pretty much have everything situated, but wondered if anyone had advice for opening/running an Etsy shop. I searched on the community, found lots of Etsy posts, but didn't see anything advice-wise.

(To let everyone know what kind of shop I plan on opening, I'm a plus-sized Lolita who wants to be able to make Lolita clothing for wearers of a variety of sizes. So far, I'm thinking more skirts and some accessories to start with, with me gradually branching into other items as time goes by so I don't get overwhelmed. I've already found some great fabrics to use. It'll also allow me to expand my sewing skills and practice what I already have down pat.)

(ETA: I'm taking a break from sewing (yay, new fabric!) but I wanted to say a HUGE thank you to everyone who has chimed in with advice. This really helps my motivation, and keeps me thinking about what to do with the shop. I really appreciate everyone being so helpful. Who knows? Maybe we can all keep connected via Etsy circles or something and promote each other!)

Hi everybody! I'm just wondering - for those of you who have ordered from Oo Jia - how long does it take to receive your items and has she been very good about communicating with you. The reason I ask is that I ordered an item for her through her facebook page at the end of March, payed for the item, but have not been able to get a response from her regarding it's status since then. I don't know if this is the usual practice or an unusual occurrence with her since I've never ordered anything from her before. I see that she has been a popular and good seller and I understand she must be busy, but I haven't heard anything in over a month. I'll have to file a claim within five days or lose my money and I really don't want to choose either of those options. Does anybody have any idea what's up?

Update: Thanks everybody! It's good to be reassured that I gave my business to a good seller.

Hello again! I tried searching for a topic like this, to no avail.

I've been trying to sketch out some dress designs in my spare time, things that I haven't seen represented on dresses and such, trying out different ideas. I don't know if they're any good, but it makes me happy to try and be creative at least. However, I've had no fashion design experience and I was wondering if there are any good templates to start off of for a lolita dress design?

Oo Jia is accepting designs in a mini-contest and she'll make the winning print. It would be so neat to see something of mine made! I would like to just start off on a fair foot compared to other girls who may have a lot more experience communicating their clothing desires visually.

Thank you for any input you can give :)
