Hello, I am a former Sweet Lolita who has recently taken an interest in Aristocratic, Gothic, Punk and Boystyle, and want to share my new obsession with the world. I must admit that I myself am just beginning to work on my own wardrobe, so I was hoping some of you more established folks might be interested in writing a guest blog post. Tutorials, outfit posts, make up and hair ideas, shop reviews, coordinating tips, anything would be helpful. Night fairy fantasia question

Hello egl~ I recently received my Night Fairy Fantasia navy skirt, but threads keep coming off the lace parts. It's not that bad, but for a 16000yen skirt it is annoying. I haven't had that problem with my other Aatp prints, but Night fairy fantasia's fabric is not as thick as most of them.

I was wondering if anyone else has the same problems or any tips. Especially for washing, because I'm afraid a lot of threads will come off once I wash it.

Casual Aristocrat?

I'm not wearing lolita very much lately, but that's only because I've decided to "graduate" to aristocrat (Yayz! lol). I love the mystery and the drama of it, however sometimes I think at times it can be too dramatic...to other people (ie. my mom); Plus with the summer months, puddles, teenage ruffians, etc. it is a little hard to go all out.

Any tips on casual aristocrat? :O The only idea can think of off the top of my head is a "Corp-Goth" ensemble. Sounds like a good idea if I was actually working in an office  subtly creepying out all of my "normie" co-workers (lol) or going to an interview, but that isn't EXACTLY what I had in mind.

I searched and googled but couldn't find anything, so I wanted to ask. I was looking at my friend's Bodyline catalogue from 2006 and there's a model there that looks exactly like the BtSSB model Aoki Misako! Is that really her and has she modeled for any other lolita brands? I thought she was exclusively Baby's model but maybe this is before she worked with them. I'll get the catalogue from my friend in a bit and upload the photo if needed. I thought that was pretty interesting and wanted to share. :)

What do you think? Personally I love the print, but I don't like the cut of the Jsks and the skirt is too simple =/ I think that Baby is trying to make some innovations in JSK designs lately, but in my opinion they are not doing such a great job.

San Diego Comic Con Meetup

The SD lolitas are organizing a meetup, and I figured since a lot of people come down for Comic Con it'd be good to post the facebook event page to EGL. We'd love to meet you. <3

SD Lolitas Meetup @ SDCC

It's at 2 p.m. Saturday in front of the Marriott hotel, which is directly next to the convention center itself. We're meeting outside due to the fact that not everyone has a badge for that particular day. There will also be a smaller meet inside the convention center on Sunday but details are TBA.

We'll have to migrate once we're all together - I'm sure we'll end up getting coffee or lunch and stopping somewhere to get some nice photographs.

I'll [or one of us will] eventually pass out my mobile number to interested parties so no one gets left behind.

May be derping out in front with a sign, but we shouldn't be hard to spot.
