Hey everybody! I'm an artist that has had an art block for going on several years and I decided to start collecting art that inspires me.
So I wanted to ask if anybody had any good pictures that really inspire them, that are lolita-esque, that they could share with me?
It can be your art, pictures of people in lolita, anything.. anything that is inspiring or just pretty in general.. or even list of words that inspire you! ^.^

I just saw that the dates for Hyper Japan 2011 were announced! There doesn't seem to be much info out yet, save for the dates & place, but I am keeping my fingers crossed for brands coming over again as well as special guests! Any guesses? Or even better, inside info? Who's planning to attend and what guests and brands are you keeping your fingers crossed for this time?

I love wearing Lolita as often as possible but with how much they cost I just prefer to make my own dresses.
I've been making clothes for a while now but I only know how with a pattern.
I have many Lolita bibles but I'd rather be wearing some that I designed on my own but I have no idea on how to actually go forth and make them without a template. I have at least 20 or more designs all with different shapes, lengths, styles, etc.
Does anybody have any suggestions on what I should do or where I should go?
Or would it just be easier to go to a seamstress, give them my designs and have them make it?

On February 17, i sent $90.45 to Taobaobuying,(popeye) for my stuff, and the next day, 18th, they replied saying they took care of the ordering process.
However, i went on my items' link and check the transaction history, no one ever bought it, i sent an email asking if they ever order anything.
after 4 days, still no emails from them.
February 22, i sent an complaint asking why they haven't reply, and of course...they never reply after that either...

then on the 25th, i sent an email to tbb's other emails, pluto_tbb@hotmail.com, he replied, just saying : "I went away for vacation!".
I immediately sent back an email saying if they don't order my stuff i'll go through an dispute in paypal.

So, 2 days after that, nope, no replies, I couldn't take it anymore so i sent an email to Oliver_tbb@hotmail.com.

and today, 28th, still no reply.
I'm thinking of getting my money back tommorrow night if they still don't reply, but has anyone experienced anything like this with taobaobuying?

I was lurking through the egl archives, being a fairly new lolita, and came across this post: http://community.livejournal.com/egl/11381291.html
Basically, take away the negative connotation of special snowflake and make it something good. What makes you different, that isn't normally expected from a lolita?

For myself, even though i look so girly when in lolita, out of it the only thing i wear out of it is boys clothes. I'm a total tomboy. And i speed skate. I think we need more speedskater lolis :D
