Hiyas :) I just got done with my latest batch of designs, So at the risk of this x-post seeming like a shameless plug, I must apologize for the watermark. I completely made these outfits from scratch (by scratch, I mean really from scratch, as in drawing my own patterns) so I'm a bit possessive. ;)

First off, I need to apologize for not posting this sooner. I have read this particular article at least a thousand times (Okay, so you caught me. I just like to look at the pretty pictures) and never even had the thought that it would interest any of you girls! Thankfully, I was bored enough to start flipping through my old magazine once again -- And you girls were on my mind.

I'm sure some of you out there have to read Gothic Beauty Magazine (GothicBeauty.com). If you don't and you like ANY style of "darker", alternative lifestyles, you definately should. It's a very informative magazine that generally covers all types of styles. You have amazing pictures, beautiful girls (And sometimes guys), events, profiles, fashion, music, etc.

If nothing else, you should just check it out for their ads. You end up coming across quite a few stores I'm sure some of you would like to check out.

Anyway. Skipping along to my point. In Gothic Beauty Magazine Issue Nine, they feature a roughly four page article entitled, "Japanese Gothic Lolitas!" It features fourteen beautiful, very clear and rather large pictures of EGL girls in Japan. Most of you probably already know everything they say in the article, but I would suggest buying the magazine (Only $4.95) just to gaze at the pictures. Their outfits are simply stunning and personally, they gave me some wonderful new ideas for EGL costumes and cosplay outfits. I'm almost certain they still offer this magazine. It can be found at most alternative stores (Including music and darker fashion stores).

i've actually been a memeber about a week but now i'm posting.... um, hi and stuff. i love anything, almost anything, gothic and lolita. i ordered a whole bunch of the Gothic and Lolita Bibles off of jpophelp.com, don't ever do that. they said it would take 4-5 weeks and it's been well over that. maybe around 8 weeks. i make REALLY GOOD headdresses and tiny hats and chokers, i'm thinking i might open a business with my friend who sells clothing, i'll post pictures later....

Well it seems that Japanese "elegant gothic lolita" fashion has been sinking it's teeth into the American culture. On Ebay, for example, you'll find that the amount of auctions listed under "gothic lolita" keep growing and growing. I don't know if any of you lolies ever enjoy the amusing links from Memepool, but if you look at today's postings you will find an offensive post about Japanese lolita fashion. If you find this stereotype offensive or want to cause a general ruckus, please send your complaints to comments@memepool.com.
