(Sorry for cross posting.)

Alright, so, I have this basic long sleeved, just below the knee, red berry colored stretch velvet dress I bought so long ago for about $10. It's too big for me, so I never wore it. I was thinking of selling it on eBay, but then I asked my mother if she'd help me costomize it. (I'm a begginer.) She said yes, so we've been going over ideas.

Anyhow, we plan on clipping off a good amount of fabric. I thought about making a lolita head dress to go with the finishing product, but I have no idea how to make one. They look quite simple, and I've heard are very easy to make. However, I need to know the structure. I also need ideas on what to line the underneath in so it won't slip off.

Can anyone help me? A pattern, or just a short description of how one is made is basically all I'm looking for.

Thank you! :)

Hello ^_^ I just joined and I wanted to say hi! *waves* I love the egl look, and I'm making a few outfits myself at the moment. It's really hard! I'm not good at sewing...no eye-hand coordination...sadness... I hope you're all friendly and want to chat! Have a nice day!

Hey what's up...Figured that this was the next natural turn in costuming for me since I already make medieval clothing and club clothing ^_^ Anyone know where I can get relatively inexpensive petticoats? The short ones I already have the long ones
