any suggestions on how to alter girls' dress patterns to fit a ladies size?
i know i should just extend the pattern lines, but i am not sure which ones or how to do it.
the patterns are a girls size 6 and 7, i need to convert them to a ladies' 10-12.
thanks for any input

It's way more complicated than just making it bigger. Girls don't have boobs or hips or butts. THey're like little sticks. Simply making the pattern bigger will result in a sack, as it's going to have to be huge for the straight lines to match the curvy ones. It's pretty easy to find patterns reminiscent of little girls patterns in womens sizes today, and if there is any particular detail that you are wanting in the original pattern, it could probably be easily added to the adult one.

Well, like the above reply states, it's a bit more complicated because of little girls' lack of boobies and hips... So... If you can pinpoint what part of the pattern corresponds to what part of the body, replace the measurements of that with your own measurements... This will be some heavy modifiying, though. You might not recognize the pattern when you're done with it :P
