hello!

just wanted to mention that i just added myself to the community. ^.^ i've been into EGL for less than a year... actually it was accidental (randomly picking up Elegant Gothic & Lolita Bible vol 4) and i'm happy that i did. so hello!

also i was wondering... i haven't picked up EG&L Bible vol 9 yet... but from the last vol... i thought the patterns weren't too great. is it just me or does it seem like the patterns arn't so great as the ones in the earlier bibles? ummm. i hope that made sense. it's really late in the evening. ^.^;;

I have to agree about the patterns! What was up with that fur.... thing! It just bothered me =(. I'm waiting for my 9th Bible to come (hopefully today or tomorrow!) so I'll let you know how it is and scan some stuff in ^_^

The patterns are a joke. Pretty much all the recent ones are normal clothes patterns (in #9 there's a PLAIN TANKTOP!) you could buy elsewhere or even make without. Either that or they use the same pattern for different brand's items multiple times. There must be at least 4 chokers and 3 neckties they've shown already! Not to mention the Elements items which seem to be big rectangles of fabric you tie on yourself with an additional strip. Comon, who needs a pattern for that? The earlier Bibles had a lot more unique items, like the h.NAOTO wrist band or the crinoline cage. At least they have Choco-Chip Cookie jewelry making instructions, which are cool.

I was looking through it today, and I'm pretty happy with it! A lot of the lines are starting to look the same though =( And I dislike the new cover artist....

actually i've been looking for this lace clasp thing... and it was shown in one of the EGL bibles... but i don't remember. :(

does anyone know where to get that?

We have some store around here called Beadworks.. and it's just an entire store of beads @_@; It's kinda expensive but they have tons of jewelry supplies. Maybe there are places like that elsewhere... If not I know craft and fabric stores have a limited selection.

i've actually tried looking at bead stores and when i ask for that lace/ribbon clasp thing they look at me funny. o_O;;;

maybe i should bring that EGL bible into a jewelry store and ask them if they have it and showing them a picture. ^.^;
