has anyone here bought EGL wear from online stores? any reccomendations would be great...although i think ive found all the egl sites there are on the web...lol
anyway, for those of you who did buy from online stores- did you like the outcome of what you got?

That's not a silly question! I'd actually really like to begin compiling this kind of info for the FAQ I brought up a few entries down.

So please everybody who's ever bought anything EGL from an online store [anyone or place with a fairly consistent stock], give us your experiences here. Cut and paste or link to old entries even if you've shared them previously.

Bought a skirt and mini petticoat from Exquisite Lass (http://www.exquisitelass.com/) I would highly recommend her. I love that her designs are toned down to be more wearable on a daily basis and she was excellent to deal with, super speedy, great fabric and overall really nice :)

i bought a few skirts from exquisite lass. kind of expensive, not very EGL, and started coming apart kinda quickly.

i bought the Ayame dress and the Elegant Gothic Lolita dress from Shadowfae. Pretty affordable, much more EGL. the sleeves and shoulders had kinda a weird fit but generally they're really nice and very cute.

Shadowfae is awesome....have you heard of Rose and Thorn? really good site with lots of cool skirts.I really like there Kawaii skirt

i REALLY detest Rosethorn. waaaaay too much satin, waaaaaaay too expensive. the owner seems snobby and very defensive of criticism. the clothes are way too plain and sort of shoddily decorated.

well, kazuko (or the site's maintainer, heh) is very good at english, so you just e-mail them in english and tell them what you want, she'll ask for your measurements and you give them to her (use a metric converter first, though) and she accepts paypal.

it did go smoothly.

thats really awesome..i commend you for being able to make your own clothes! ive been wanting to make my own EGL stuff...but it seems complicated......well, you know how it goes- practice makes perfect
