Date: 2003-07-08 12:54 pm (UTC)Anyway the best part is they're cheap and you can make them yourself. Raincoat Slicker material super cheap in the late spring/summer season at JoAnns [especially the larger ones that carry all the upholstery fabrics because this stuff comes on huge rolls] sometimes it's like $2 a yard. You fold it up and cut it into a big donut with a razor and a piece of string you use like a compass. Cut the whole big circle out first and then a teeny whole for your body which you can make bigger if you need to [and the material does stretch a tad so you want it a little tights so it doesn't fall down]. And voila a perfect vinyl circle skirt that looks awesome with a petticoat and corset. And a bunch of vinyl scraps to turn into accessories and accents. It may take a try or two to get the length you like and the hole right for you to squeeze into, but it's still really, really easy.
I get more comments on those skirts at the club than anything else I've ever worn. And I tell everyone how to make them.
