egl_archiveHello, EGL, the Arizona Lolitas are proud to present our first magazine/mook Arizona Pretty
In an effort to bring something new to the community and inspired by Angelic Pretty's mook they released earlier this year, local girls and a very good photographer put together a magazine of five photo shoots, trip reports, tutorials, and interviews with local designers. We have sold some advertising space to other indie designers from Etsy and StoreEnvy to help fund our local tea party at Saboten.
Why are you doing this?
I wasn't sure how to get indie brands from etsy and store envy to donate to me, so I figured selling them advertising space was the easiest way to go about it, and thus the idea of a photo book/magazine happened. It turned into a large project but I learned so much about my local lolitas through it, and I'm glad to have something to give back to the community.
How can I get one?
Currently we are running preorders for the special edition, which includes:
Extra Photos
Digital Access to the online version which includes extra behind the scenes video and photos
Glossy, perfect bound, high quality magazine
You can order it here until the 17th of August when we send our first batch off to the printers. It costs $15 if you're in Arizona and can pick it up, or $18 for it shipped to your door if you're in America. If there is enough international interest I'll add an international shipping option.
Why so expensive? Vogue is like $6.00
Each magazine costs around $12 to print, since we're doing a limited run, I have to pay the publisher for running a small amount each time a new one is ordered, that covers printing costs. The extra $3 is tax and shipping to my door. I am more than happy (if you live in Phoenix, AZ) to drop it off at your house if you can't make it to the tea party in late August at Saboten.
