I am sad to say that this is true for me, I have never met another lolita in person. I saw one once at the Dollar Store just as she got in her car and drove off. I really wanted to talk to her and I was so sad I missed what feels like my only opportunity. I think about attending an Oregon lolita meet-up, they have them in Portland which is 5 hrs from me but I never have the time or money to go. I live in a small rural town. Every single person I have ever spoken to about lolita fashion has never heard of it, I have to explain it to them. I've been a lolita for 6 years (drifting into mori girl) and this is still true.

I wonder if this is typical or if this is true for other people?
