I'm guessing this is really new because I just clicked a link from the past day or two to the meta shop and it was broken, which prompted me to go searching for the dress on their site. Front and center they had a message about their new points system and new shopping cart system.
It sounds like if you register for an account you get 3% of your order price back in points, and 1 point = 1 yen. Points are good for a year. (Details about the points system) You can view your points under "my account".
What caught my eye, however, was that now, under each item there is an add to wishlist button. It looks like they are private, and you can add/remove items from them quite easily. If you change the color on the item page, it adds that color to the wishlist after the item name, but it still uses the main image (so if the thumbnail/main image was the brown version and you add the black, you will still get the image of the brown version, but it will say black.)
For people who already had accounts, it looks like they imported in old account data, however, my address was not matched to the fields properly (like my city was under building) and had some formatting errors (no dashes in the phone number) that I had to correct to edit my profile. I also didn't have my state entered (it was defualting to the first one on the list) . So if you are a previous Meta customer, I suggest you check your address before ordering with them next time to make sure it's still right!
