Ah~ I'm not sure if this is just an area thing or not, but I figured I'd post anyway just incase.
In relation to pattern Simplicity 5872 (the 6 blouses we're gushing over~), Hancock is having a major sale on Simplicity's "Easy" patterns, which means instead of paying $12.95 like it's retailed, I bought it for $2.95! Also, if you want to make an entire outfit (like a two-piece) check out McCalls Costumes 7253, it's a pattern for 1950's circle skirts, but.. a circle skirt is perfect for our petticoats ne? You could easily modify it for pleats, or anything. ^^ Also comes with a pattern for a petticoat, incase you're looking for one.
And by going to Wal-Mart and finding gems in the 1.00 yd table and .33 yd ribbon, I spent about 15.00 dollars all together ^^ It's easy sewing, so there is nothing to be afraid of. I still have to purchase some buttons for the blouse, but that won't be alot either. I just thought I'd shared with you all ^_^
